My love and condolences to Val and family. What a trial for Jim and all the family these past few years. A heart ache of love, Jim will always remain my bestest tennis buddy!! We played in summer heat, sleat and rain; didnt matter fog or smog we played; singles ,doubcles and mixed...with fervour! Jim was a trooper; with a fighting competitive spirit on the court and in his sickness but always ready for a laugh, a chat and a coffee, and maybe a HB sweet too!! My heart....for he was kind and we were always ready for the next game! There you are now....playing more tennis!! And free of pain....

I had the privilege of meeting Jim at Wilmot's Senior Tennis, where he instantly made me feel welcome despite being new to the game. His kindness, guidance, and warmth created a comfortable atmosphere, allowing me to grow in confidence. Over the years, Jim generously shared his expertise, inviting me to play alongside him and offering valuable tips. His infectious sense of humor made every encounter a joy. I cherish the opportunity to have visited Jim this summer, expressing my gratitude for his unwavering kindness. His compassion and friendship left an indelible mark on my life. I had the pleasure to meet Jim many years ago when I was running for Fredericton City Council. Jim graciously offered to knock on hundreds of doors with me, Jim didn’t know me when he offered to introduce me to many people who lived in our ward and I greatly appreciated his help. I got to know how kind, generous and funny he was. He was always positive and willing to keep on knocking even when we were both tired. Over the years I have gotten to know his family and saw the abundant love that was the cornerstone of his family. I haven’t seen Jim for quite awhile and sadly didn’t know that he was sick.
