First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Jeff. As one of his students, I had the privilege of experiencing firsthand his incredible kindness, approachability, understanding and generosity. He was truly one of the most compassionate and dedicated professors I have ever had the honor of learning from.
Dr. Jeff was not just a professor to me—he was an inspiration. He was my favorite, which is why I took every course he taught during my time at the university. We often had the chance to chat after class, and those conversations meant so much to me. His stories about his own experiences and achievements were both inspiring and humbling. It was clear that he not only cared about his students' success, but also wanted us to grow as individuals, both academically and personally.
In fact, I recommended him to my husband when he was considering taking some courses on the MBA program at UNB, because I truly believed he was the best professor anyone could have. I have no doubt that many others would say the same. His legacy will live on in all the lives he touched—mine included.
It’s difficult to comprehend that someone so young and full of promise is no longer with us. His passing is a tremendous loss, and my heart goes out to the whole family during this incredibly difficult time. Dr. Jeff's memory will remain in my heart, and I will always cherish the lessons he taught, both inside and outside the classroom.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you, and in the knowledge that Dr. Jeff made a profound and lasting impact on so many lives.
From his former student.
