The Board and Staff at Kidney Cancer Canada are deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend and colleague. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beyond being a valued colleague and trusted friend, Karen was a compassionate and generous person whose dedication to helping others inspired everyone around them. Her unwavering support of the Canadian kidney cancer community, especially the patients and caregivers, both as a volunteer and advocate, touched countless lives and made a meaningful difference. She gave her time, energy, and heart selflessly, always striving to bring hope and comfort to those facing difficult challenges. For many years, Karen served as a Director on the Board of Kidney Cancer Canada, representing the Atlantic Provinces of Canada with dedication, compassion, and grace. She was a passionate advocate for the Canadian kidney cancer community, generously giving her time, energy, and wisdom to support patients, caregivers and families. Her kindness, leadership, and unwavering commitment touched countless lives and will be remembered with deep gratitude. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Karen’s family, friends, and everyone whose life was enriched by her presence. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear friend. Your impact on this world lives on in the many lives you touched. (The photo is of Christine, Mona & Karen - The Patient & Caregiver Support Team)

How to choose just one memory of such a beautiful woman? There is a lifetime of lessons, kindnesses, shared laughter and a few tears! Your Mother, My Aunt, was a wonderful anchor in my life. Her guidance through to her friendship, her perseverance, and kindnesses (there were many). Our many visits, were so treasured and yet ... still feel not enough. It never is. I'm certain your Mom is at peace, reunited with your Dad, and glad she danced! We are so sorry for your loss! Much love and hugs from both of us!
