Obituary of Charlotte Faye Flynn

The family of Charlotte Faye Flynn sadly announces that she passed away on Monday, January 27th, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, with her daughter by her side. Charlotte was born on April 19, 1936 to Frank and Mildred (Martin) Kidney in Woodstock, NB.

Charlotte will be sadly missed by her daughter, Gayle Crabbe (Ron Beatty); grandson, Todd Macpherson (Robyn); great-granddaughter, Marrakesh “Kesh” Macpherson; stepsons, Mark Flynn (Cami) and Steven Flynn; stepdaughter, Heather Flynn, and her step-grandchildren, Colin (Sally), Jessica, Michael, Mark, Simeon, Elyia and Anise; and brother, Ronald Kidney (Doreen).  Charlotte is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Flynn; brothers, Robert Kidney (Doreen), John Kidney (late Alice), Lawrence Kidney (Audrey) and sister, Jean Chase (late Roy).  She was also predeceased by her stepson, Michael Flynn.

Charlotte and Gayle were not only mother and daughter, they were best friends and spent most afternoons together.  Charlotte loved all her family and loved to spend time with them. A very kind, loving, generous woman, her laugh was contagious and you could hear it a mile away.  She had a great sense of humor. She loved to have fun and would never miss a gathering of any kind.  She was a hardworking woman all of her life, one who enjoyed going to work and spending time with her work family.  She was Pete Mockler’s (QC) legal secretary for 40 years and had a wonderful working relationship together.

Charlotte was an avid member of Journey Wesleyan Church on Duncan Lane in Fredericton. She so loved her friends there and enjoyed any services that she was able to attend. Charlotte was loved by everyone who had the wonderful opportunity to meet her.  She was a very special lady to so many!

Gayle would like to thank all of Charlotte’s Windsor Court Family.  Charlotte received excellent care over the past year from all of the Windsor Court Staff and she made lasting friendships with many of the staff and residents.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2025 from 12 – 2 pm, at McAdam’s Funeral Home.  Her service will be immediately following in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel, and will be officiated by Pastor Matthew Maxwell. For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed here: https://vimeo.com/event/4882220. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Fredericton, The Multiple Sclerosis Society Atlantic, The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
