Obituary of Gladys Miller

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom (Mudder), Gladys Miller, with her family by her side, on April 29th, 2025, at the age of 89. Gladys was born on April 15th, 1936 in Grand Falls, Newfoundland. She was predeceased by her parents and 6 siblings, making her the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

We will miss her wittiness, no nonsense approach and her unconditional love for her family. She was lovingly known by her grandchildren as “Grandma Happy Bum.”

Mom loved family time together, especially our weekly brunches at Minglers and putting in time by playing the machines. She was an avid puzzle maker, crossword guru and loved Sudoku which kept her mind sharp.

Gladys is survived by her children, Marilyn Johnson (Gary), Ron Miller, Beverley Robinson (Dale), Robert Miller (Sandra), Karen Anderson (Steven), Penny Miller (Robert Wheaton), and Michael Miller (Charlene); as well as her 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Harry Miller, David Miller and Roger Miller, as well as her grandchildren, Katherine Miller, Matthew Miller and Daniel Beck. 

In keeping with Mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation. There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date.

We are forever grateful for your love, care, thoughtfulness and warmth while taking care of our Mom and her family during the most difficult time.
