Obituary of Sharon Lynne Carr

 

 

Sharon Lynne Carr (née Duchesne)
May 3, 1935 – June 3, 2025

It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Lynne Carr on June 3^rd 2025. Born in Windsor, Ontario, on May 3, 1935, Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence (Duke) and Margaret Duchesne. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, Francis (Bud) Carr, her son-in-law, Paul Richard and her dear sister, Suzy.

Sharon spent most of her adult life in the Maritimes, where she raised her family and worked as an executive assistant at the IWK and VG hospitals. She was an active member of her church congregation and found joy in reading, painting, and playing video games with her grandchildren.

Following the death of her husband, Sharon lived in Fredericton with her devoted daughter Erin, who lovingly cared for her until her final days. Sharon’s greatest joy was the quiet, peaceful life she shared with Erin, whose dedication and love brought her deep comfort and happiness.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her children: Lynne (Richard), Erin, and Brendan Carr; her grandchildren: Christian, Laura, Sinjin, Keegan, Benjamin, Rebecca, Peter, Rachel, and Samuel; and her great-grandchildren: Francis, William, Sylas, Felix, and Maxim. Her warmth, kindness, and endless curiosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Sharon’s memory.
