Obituary of Sharon Patricia Day
The death of Sharon Patricia Day occurred on June 2nd, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on February 7th, 1944, she was the daughter of the late H. Norman and Agnes (Greenfield) Day.
Sharon was born and grew up in Fredericton. She attended UNB, and graduated in 1967. One of her main careers throughout her life was at Ross Drug. She was a dedicated worker, retiring in 2011.
A big part of Sharon’s life was her religion. She was a proud and devoted member of the Christ Church Cathedral. Sharon was active in the ACW, taught Sunday School, and was often a lector at the Cathedral. Also, she had a passion for gardening. Enjoying all the time she spent in her gardens. She loved tending to them, especially while her feathered friends were around keeping her company and bringing her peace.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her grandparents, Herbert and Victoria (Rogers) Greenfield, as well as Henry and Sarah (Bandy) Day.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at 10 am, with The Very Rev. Geoffrey Hall officiating. An interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Christ Church Cathedral Restoration Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
