Obituary of Fraser Zellan Bunker
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the son of Zellan Sherman and Jennie Ruby (Elder) Bunker. Dad was a very proud Marysville boy, staying in his own home until last year. His Windsor Court family welcomed and cared for him until June 11th, when he entered Hospice and passed on June 12th.
Left with lots of cherished memories are his children, Holly Irving (Blaine), Bev (Audrey), both of Fredericton, Bill (Teresa) of Edmonton, AB, and Michael (Marc) of North Hatley, QC; grandchildren, Jenny (Hayden), Mindy (Jordie), Amy (Zak), Victoria (Sean), Ben, and Ally; great grandchildren, Ruby, Levi, Bessie, Ollie, Theo, and Max; sisters-in-law, Irene (Robert), Leigh (Randy), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the last surviving member of his family. Dad was predeceased by his parents; wife, Diane (Currie); siblings, Phillip, Fred, Annie Gill (Ralph), Gertie Ball (Bud), Frances Gammon (Glayne), Harry (Sylvia), Mazie Olsen (Donald), and Murray Bunker.
Dad was a proud employee of the City of Fredericton. He loved to bowl, fish, square dance, and watch the Blue Jays. Always ready to lend a helping hand to the Marysville Y’s Men, or deliver Meals on Wheels. He loved spending hours in his shed building things or splitting kindling. He kept us all supplied along with many loyal customers. Dad loved to watch Judge Judy and Three’s company.
Dad, you fought a long hard battle, never giving up! We are so proud of you and will cherish all our memories. We will miss the Fraser Bunker smile and your beautiful Blue Eyes.
Rest in Peace Dad, we will miss you! XO
At his request, his loving family will lay him to rest in a private service. Condolences accepted through McAdam’s Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House, Greener Village Food Bank, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Special Thanks to the many people who supported dad throughout the years Dr. Tom Barry, Dr. Natalie Wallace and numerous others. Extra Mural who was always near to help us. The paramedics who were always so kind. His Home care workers, Windsor Court family and Hospice in our final days.
