Obituary of Deborah Ann Chiasson

The family of Deborah Ann Chiasson sadly announces she passed away on July 28, 2025, at Shannex Ocean Hall in Moncton, NB. She was born on November 4, 1954, to John Joseph “Joe” and Margaret Ellen (Howley) Chiasson, in Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, NS.

Deborah was an active CNA, then obtained her nursing degree at UCCB. She lived and worked in Fredericton, NB. In her off time, she enjoyed traveling to sunny destinations, loved cooking and snuggling her cats.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers, James Chiasson (Frances) of Port Hawkesbury, NS, and John Chiasson (Carol) of Glace Bay, NS; nieces and nephews, Darrin, Stephen, Nicôle, Michael, Chris, JJ, and Leanne, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her brother, Wayne; sister-in-law, Bev, and sister, Marion.

A special thanks goes to Rebecca Graham and Wendi Skaling, as well as all staff from Shannex Ocean Hall in Moncton for their excellent care and support.

In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held August 23, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Holy Family Cemetery, beginning at 1:00pm, with Fr. Dan Boudreau presiding.
