Obituary of Joan Hazel Crawford

Joan Hazel Crawford (née Dow), aged 92, of Rusagonis, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Walter and Adella Dow on November 27, 1932. Joan’s life was marked by quiet strength, deep love for her family, and a calm, gentle presence that touched all who knew her.

Joan will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Stephen, Susan, David, and Ann (Rob). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her 8 granddaughters, Jennifer, Christine, Gayle, Nicole, Cassandra, Katrina, Camryn, Kailee, and grandson, Dylan, as well as her eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry W. Crawford in 1972, with whom she is joyfully reunited after 53 years, as well as her dear sisters, Connie Craven (Chuck), and Margaret Fitzgerald (David).

In accordance with her wishes, Joan was cremated, and a private burial took place on August 15, 2025, at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saint John, New Brunswick. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

She will be missed and forever cherished.
