Obituary of Maggie May Lally
It is with deep love and broken hearts that we announce the end of Maggie May Lally's journey here on earth. A devoted mother, loving wife, cherished daughter, amazing sister, beautiful nana, and a forever friend to all that knew her.
Maggie gained her wings on Monday, August 25th, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a very hard and courageous fight. She was born in Essex, England on February 10, 1955, to Doreen and Stan Beale.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband, John Lally; sister, Christine Beale; children, Vikki Hallihan (John Latimer), Emma Wilson (Mike Wilson), and Matthew Lally (Alyson Lally); grandchildren, Nate, Cameron, Olivia, Cole, Vaughn, and Essex; her mother, Doreen Beale, as well as many other dear friends and family. Her legacy of love and courage, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Throughout her battle, Maggie would never let her diagnosis define her. You would never know the battles she was facing or the pain she was suffering as she always had a smile on her face, and was ready to put everyone's needs above her own. She had an unwavering kindness as she made friends wherever she went, and became a mother to the many people she met along the way. She was known for her quick-witted humour, undeniable resilience, and maintained an amazing zest for life despite the challenges. Maggie loved to entertain, dance to Rod Stewart, cook Sunday dinners in her kitchen, drink her finest wine on her front porch, and travel the world with her best friends and family. Her spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Although her presence is missed here on earth, our protector and our earth angel has earned her spot in heaven and will shine down on us everyday. Her spirit will live on in every act of kindness we share, every moment we choose love over anger, and every time we put family first.
You are a legacy to all of us who were fortunate enough to know you, and you can now lay down your sword.
A Celebration of Maggie's life will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Kingswood Lodge, 31 Kingswood Park, Fredericton, from 5 pm - 8 pm. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Sgt. Andrew Harnett Memorial Fund.
Rest easy mama, you deserve it.
We love you.
