Obituary of Francisco "Paco" Lopez
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Francisco "Paco" Lopez of Fredericton, NB, who went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2025.
Born on March 6, 1970, in Mexico City, Mexico, Paco was the eldest son of Francisco Lopez and Maricarmen Garibay. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nury Franco-Lopez and his 2 cherished sons, Gabriel (14) and Neizan (11). He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Daniel Lopez and Lucia Lopez.
From a young age, Paco developed a love for sports, especially tennis. He later pursued studies in engineering before discovering his true talent in marketing and sales. Paco met his high school sweetheart, Nury, at La Salle del Pedregal. Though life led them on different paths for a time, their story came full circle. Paco often arranged his business trips with connecting flights through Mexico City just to see her. Their love was sealed in marriage on May 27, 2009, in Mexico.
Paco was gifted in marketing and brought his talents to Shift Auto Group, where he will be deeply missed. He was also an active and enthusiastic part of the Fusion Basketball community and the Abony Family Tennis Center. Above all, Paco could always be found cheering from the sidelines, his heart overflowing with pride for his sons’ accomplishments.
Paco will be remembered for his radiant smile, kind spirit, and the countless ways he touched the lives of those around him. At the center of his heart was his family—his love for Nury and their boys shaped everything he did. He had an unwavering devotion to his wife, always seeking to make sure she felt cherished, cared for, and deeply loved. Nury was not only his partner but the love of his life, and he delighted in bringing her joy. His greatest pride and joy were his sons, Gabriel and Neizan. Whether cheering them on from the sidelines, guiding them through life’s lessons, or simply spending time together, Paco poured his heart into being a present and supportive father. His legacy will forever be his boundless love for his family and the strength and encouragement he gave them each day.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family’s GoFundMe to support Nury and the boys as they navigate this new chapter. https://www.gofundme.com/f/as5fg-support-the-lopez-family

“Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from the body and be present with the Lord.”
