Like so many who knew and cherished Lottie, I share in the deep sadness of her passing.
I first met her in 2008, when I was exploring Churchill Gardens before moving in. Lottie greeted me with a warm hug—after deciding my wandering had no suspicious intent!
Lottie was the heartbeat of our community. She looked out for everyone and everything, and we loved her for it. Forthright and selfless, she faced life’s challenges head-on—a quiet fighter who believed, unwaveringly, that things would work out. Her mantra, “As long as I’ve got two feet and a heartbeat,” is etched in my memory. I smile when I think of it, especially knowing how often her feet gave her trouble. It must have been that strong and willing heart of hers that kept her going.
My life was deeply enriched by her friendship. Lottie was truly one of a kind, and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
