Obituary of Michelle Lynn Seymour
It is with great sadness the family of Michelle Lynn (Shupe) Seymour announces her sudden passing on September 29th, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 4th, 1981, in Fredericton, NB.
Michelle is survived by her parents, Richard and Carolyn Shupe; her daughters, Kathryn and Olivia, and their father, Bill Seymour; brother, Robert Shupe (Nicole); sister, Ann Stewart (Larry); nieces, Kristen Stewart, Victoria Russell (Jordan), Isabella Stewart, Karlee Stewart, and Maeley Stewart, as well as a nephew, Joseph Stewart (Jessica). She is fondly remembered by her extended family, Mike Vitelli, and his sons, Tyson and Nathan Vitelli.
Michelle was predeceased by her twin brother, Michael Joseph, her grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Michelle lived a life filled with love, strength, and kindness. Her greatest joy in life was her family, whom she loved fiercely and without conditions. She was a source of unconditional love to her daughters. She cherished every moment and memory made with them. Michelle will be remembered for her infectious laugh, always giving the best hugs, and her warm smile. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was always a source of positivity, and had a deep faith in God. She carried those qualities throughout her life, shaping the people and places around her with love and dedication. Beyond her family, she had a passion for helping people and serving others. She worked with many organizations, such as her current position at Bridges of Canada, and former contributions to Seed the Need/Prison Christian Ministries. Michelle had a love for animals. She owned many over the years, including her special Penny and Ruby, who went on before her.
The family would like to extend thanks to the nurses and doctors at the DECH, and SJRH, especially the CICU care team in Saint John, NB, for all their care and support.
A funeral service will be held at Smythe Street Church, on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or Seed the Need.
