Obituary of Doreen Geneva Dillon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Geneva Dillon on the evening of October 7th, 2025. We find comfort, and rejoice in knowing that she is at peace with our Lord and Saviour. Doreen was born on May 22nd, 1952.

Doreen had experienced struggles and illnesses throughout her life from a young age, but she was a fierce fighter with a strong will to keep moving forward. She did not allow her physical difficulties to shape her life negatively, rather she viewed them as opportunities to learn and grow in her Faith. She was a kind and beautiful soul who had an amazing sense of humour, the most infectious laugh, a fiery spirit and was a friend to all.  Doreen was a lady who treated others with love and compassion, always giving so much of herself. 

Socializing with others was one of Doreen's most treasured pastimes. She had a passion for cooking and having fellowship with others around the table. She believed breaking bread with others was a way to make everyone feel a sense of love and belonging. Doreen was a wonderful listener, offering her life experiences as encouragement and support for those around her. Truly an inspiring woman. 

Doreen was a devoted and loving mother to her children, an extraordinary grandmother, and a tireless protector when it came to those whom she loved. She will be forever cherished by her daughter, Angela MacGregor (Kevin); her grandchildren, Emily, Katherine, and Victoria, her great granddaughter, Amelia Rae, and her daughter-in-law, Sonja Dillon. 

Doreen is now walking hand in hand on the streets of gold with her son, Terry.

A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church, 668 Rte 104, Burtts Corner, NB, on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at 11 am with Pastor Steve Matthews officiating.
