We were saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Being friends with my Dad, he was a part of my childhood - from teaching me how to throw various pitches including the infamous "palm ball", to going fiddle-head picking on the islands of the Saint John river with Jake to just visiting your place on the Northside. I'm glad my Dad was able to get back for quite a few visits in Sept/Oct before he passed. Take care.

To Janet, and all family of Mike Currie
Mike was a great guy, with a great career. I remember that his father was also a forester.
Patson Gale was in my class in Grade 1 at York Street School. I, and every kid that was Patson's contemporary, remember him often. Mike was just a year older., and I suppose he was at York Street School also.

My sincere condolences to Janet and all of Mike’s family. Mike was a great guy, always friendly and easy to talk to.
He was wonderful to my father, Philip. I always thought they were more like brothers, rather than cousins.
He’ll be missed by many of us.
