Obituary of Ronald John Vaughan

The family of Ronald John Vaughan announces his passing on January 7^th, 2026 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, at the age of 94.

Ron was a successful business man in the Fredericton area for his entire life.  Many may remember his business Capital Garage along Campbell Street before the Westmorland Street bridge construction, and then Auto Machinery in the Vanier Industrial Park.  Ron was very proud of his Vaughan family history and their many accomplishments from shipbuilding to various automotive businesses.  A professional engineer by degree, Ron was an entrepreneur and made many friendships along the way.

He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, who passed away in 2013, as well as by his siblings Carl, Donna and Sandra.

Ron truly enjoyed watching and boasting of the success of his grandchildren, as he loved them dearly.  Ron is survived by his son, Doug (Rhonda); his daughter, Susan (Jerome); his 5 grandchildren, Stephen (Heather), David (Christine), Maggie (Michael), Andrew (Melissa) and Sarah (Eric); as well as 4 great grandchildren, Reggie and Joanie Vaughan, Alexander Connors, and Isabella Cassista.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McAdam's Funeral Home.  A visitation for Ron will be held at McAdam's on Wednesday, January 14^th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
