Obituary of Wilma Betty Tupper
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Wilma Betty (Ferguson) Tupper on February 4th, 2026, in Fredericton, NB. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, on January 25th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Susie (Keir) Ferguson.
Wilma was active in the community, she canvassed for charities including the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and others. She was an avid walker and bowler, who also enjoyed cross- country skiing; her favourite times were spent swimming at Brackley Beach in PEI.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Tupper (Catherine Burpee); sisters-in-law, Dianne Tupper and Joan Brockelbank; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Tupper (2025); brothers, Don Ferguson Sr. (2024) and Howard Ferguson (2025); sister-in-law, Freda (Ferguson) Ariganello (2024); and brothers-in-law, Earl Tupper (2015) and Chalid Brockelbank (2024).
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical teams and support personnel from Oncology, Palliative Care, Extra Mural and Windsor Court, as well as to her wonderful friends and neighbours for their ongoing support.
In keeping with Wilma’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at the Marshfield Community Cemetery, 14173 St. Peter’s Road, Marshfield, PEI, at a later date.
