We first want to send our condolences to Marie’s family. We know only a few of you but want to thank you all for sharing with us and so many others the video of the celebration of Marie’s life held at at BSBC. We watched it from our second home in Mexico and were thrilled to hear the wonderful accounts of the life of a great Christian lady. We met Marie and Ross while we were students at UNB and were part of one of those Bible studies that were so frequently mentioned. We left Fredericton after graduation, but, wouldn’t you know it, Ross and Marie were already such faithful friends that they visited us several times when they were in Edmonton on sabbatical. In 1974. Back in Fredericton, decades later, we were blessed to renew acquaintances with them. We were especially blessed to chat with Marie at church one last time (for now) shortly before heading south once again. May The Lord’s richest blessings rest on all of Marie’s large family and so many friends at this time.
In Christian Love,
Bev and Jean Mitchell

So sorry to hear the news of Marie’s passing! We only met a couple of times but I remember her well! Cousin Ross and Marie visited us in North Wales many years ago. We thought about you all in September, when my sisters, Janice and Sandy and I travelled to the maritimes. Unfortunately, we missed seeing you then but, you were all in our thoughts. Sending condolences and best wishes to you all!

Sadness, grief, and loss, all mixed together with so much love and precious memories from a lifetime and a life well and faithfully lived. I (Neil) have known Marie since we were teenagers, growing up together in the Upper Maugerville Baptist Church (1950s/early 60s). Ann has known her almost as long, getting to know her at UBBTS during her time there as a student (1961/62). Ann's roommate was Joanie Sutherland (Ward) and Marie was a frequent visitor to their dorm room. The three of them became lifelong friends. There are friends, special friends, and friends like family, and our family and your family became "friends like family." Over the years we have so many wonderful memories of visits, meals together, and other times of fellowship. Your family has so very much enriched ours. What a blessing! So from Ann and me, our sincere condolences, and our continued prayers for you all. May you experience God's real presence and continued comfort. "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." (Numbers 6:24–26 NIV)

I was saddened to read this morning that Marie has passed away. Sad for each of you but happy for her as she and Ross are together again and with the Lord she loved and faithfully served. Memories are flooding my heart from Bible School days - our walks together, talks, laughter, silliness and so many more. Always loved reuniting with her over the years and seeing her big loving smile and getting her hugs. Treasure your memories as I do mine. They are precious gifts God gives to us. Praying for each of you as you journey this road of grief and I know our faithful Lord will carry you each step of the way. He promised.
Love, Donna Myers Isaiah 43;1,2 and 41:10,13
