There are very special people in this world that touch our lives in unsuspecting ways, and Kenny was just that. He had a smile and warmth that undeniably was magnetic and one of a kind. He always made you feel welcome and always took time for those he loved dearest. He had a knack for taking the broken ones under his wing and reminding them that no matter how hard things get, life is worth living and tomorrow is a fresh start.
His living room became his sanctuary, as time went on and his strength diminished. If it was a good day, Kenny loved to look out the window and smell the air. He loved a good chat, and even in failing health he still made time for phone conversations and quick catch ups in person (if you were lucky to catch him between naps). He always took any opportunity to share his love of The Lawrence Welk Show, and his love of good music and stellar dance moves. No matter the song, he always had a story from his younger years to go with it. You never left Kenny’s feeling unheard; always fully and truly loved to the core. Though he was quick to admit he faltered in life and made mistakes, he spent the majority of his days praying and asking for forgiveness.
Kenny will truly be missed from this world but if anything can help heal the pain of this loss, Kenny was a man of great faith and spent his life devoting himself to his beliefs and looked forward to finally arriving “home” and spending eternity with his beloved Carol. He finally got his wish. Rest easy, sweet Kenny. I will miss you…
