Obituary of Dianna Lapointe

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dianna (Sowers) Lapointe on March 7, 2026, at York Care Centre. Born on August 27, 1942 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Velma Sowers.

Dianna was a kind, caring, and thoughtful woman whose compassion shone through her career in home care. Family was her greatest passion, and she loved and cared for her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was also known as an exceptional baker who loved to cook, and her children continue to cherish and use the many recipes she shared with them.

She is survived by her children, Michael, Johanne, and Janine Lapointe, and her grandchildren, Cassandra and Isabella Lapointe, and Casey, Erin, Emily, and Ethan Wade.

Her love will live on through the family she cherished, the traditions she passed down, and the lasting influence she leaves on her children and grandchildren.

By request, there will be no formal services. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the IWK.
