Obituary of Lucille Mae Anderson
Lucille “Lucy” Mae (Folland) Traynor Anderson, born November 9, 1948, in McAdam, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, surrounded by love and holding her daughter’s hand. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories for all who knew and loved her.
Lucy lived life to the fullest, she lived it her way. She loved to laugh, dance, and have fun, and she especially enjoyed spending time in the boathouse overlooking the lake. Her joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. Lucy treasured time spent with her many friends and family, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth.
Lucy was deeply loved and tenderly cared for by her former partner, roommate, and best friend Dennis Bell, who remained faithfully by her side with great love, care, and devotion. She further leaves behind her loving children, daughter Jodi and son Ryan (Marcia) and Ryan'sfather Shane Anderson, as well as her stepchildren, Cherry Bell (Trevor), Dennis Bell Jr. (Trish), and Nick Bennett. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kayauna Anderson-Prescod (Emmanuel), Tyler Traynor-Ecker (Taylor), Jazzlee Traynor, Trejour and Journey Neysmith, Mitchell, Jade and Chad Burns, Kamilah Harris and Kimani Harris, Caleb Bell, and Samantha and Jason Lane, and was also blessed with great-grandchildren Nylah, Bless, Macen, Elijah, Harmony, Keira, Kayleigh, Bridgette, Kyree and her newest blessing, Scarlett Rose. They were her pride and joy and brought her endless happiness. "She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were blessed to know and love her, as well as her sister-by-heart, Marlene Boon, and her cat, Smokey.
In addition to her parents, Gordon Fess Folland and Georgie Pearl Folland, she was predeceased by her husband, John David Traynor; brothers, Gordon Verroll Weldon Folland and Gordon Walter Folland, and her sister, Marilyn Ann Folland.
Above all else, Lucy’s greatest joy in life was her family. Her love for them was endless and unconditional, and she never missed a chance to remind them just how much they meant to her.
Those who loved her will forever hear the words she said so often and so sincerely:
“I Love You More.”
"Let me watch my children grow to see what they become.
Let me be too old to die young."
Her love will live on in every life she touched, and in the family she cherished beyond words.
Lastly, endless gratitude to McAdam Outreach for their exceptional Home care services; the staff of Ambulance New Brunswick, who saw her often, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for making her last moments comfortable and peaceful.
By request, there will be no formal services at this time. Donations in Lucy’s memory would be appreciated to Lakeland Industries in McAdam, New Brunswick, which was one of her favorite places to shop. Donations may be arranged by contacting crissy@lakelandindustries.ca.
