Obituary of Frederick Charles Carroll

Frederick “Fred” C. Carroll of Fredericton, New Brunswick, husband of Edith (MacBeth) Carroll, completed his earthly journey on March 16^th, 2026 at the Dr. Everatt Chalmer’s Hospital. Born in Douglastown, NB on October 3^rd, 1937, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mary Marguerite (Innes) Carroll.

Following his graduation form Harkins High School in Miramichi, NB, Fred was with the Canadian Air Force for three years, followed by working in the credit industry for over 17 years, after which he joined the real estate industry for 35 years. He ended his work life constructing private homes.

Fred was Roman Catholic by faith, and a former member of the Lincoln Lion’s Club and the Lion’s International. He was also a strong supporter of War Amps Canada. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer.

Fred leaves behind his wife, Edith; daughter, Stacy; son, Darcy (Kelly); 2 much loved grandchildren, Caitlyn and Seth; chosen daughter, Madison Hachey and her 4 children; and siblings Keith (Judy) and Lucy (Trevor Smith).

In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his siblings, Robert, Shirley, David, Donald, John, Clayton, and Joyce.

There will be no visitation or service. Final arrangements have be entrusted to McAdam’s Funeral Home.
