Obituary of James Vincent MacIsaac
It is with heavy hearts that the family of James "Jim" Vincent MacIsaac announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (DECH) on March 20th, 2026. Born on January 1st, 1947, he was the son of the late Vincent and Dorothy (Stewart) MacIsaac.
He first worked in construction as a skilled electrician and continued to return to throughout his life. He later pursued a second calling in education, where he served faithfully as a teacher and ultimately as Vice Principal of Minto Memorial High School, retiring in 2006.
Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Sheila; his children, Vincent (Tina), April, Michael, Alanna (Geoff), Rhonda (Mark), and Rodney (Kim); his grandchildren, Hailey, Justin, Jose, Dawn, Lindsay, and Mallory; his great-granddaughter, Rosalie; his siblings, Ron, Steve, and Debbie; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the DECH. With special thanks to Dr. Dore for his time, patience, and compassion.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Donations in Jim's name made to the Palliative Care Unit at the DECH would be appreciated.
