Obituary of John Darcy Wilkinson
We are sad to announce that on February 15th, 2026, John Darcy Wilkinson came to the end of his 79th year of his life’s journey at the Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB.
In his younger years, John worked for and was successful as a State Farm Insurance Agent in Ottawa, Ontario. Upon moving to Fredericton, he enjoyed working at Leo Hayes High School as a custodian.
John loved a good day on the golf course, always had a joke on hand, and was a very kind and giving man. He shared these joys ever so generously with his friends and neighbours in Kingsley, where he resided and made many friends. He was known for his beautiful penmanship on the birthday and Christmas cards he always sent.
John is survived by the love of his life and partner of 20 years, Linda (Scott) Jagoe, who now resides at Enhanced Care Home in
Gagetown, NB as well as his brother, Dennis, of Ontario.
John was predeceased by his parents, John Hamilton Wilkinson and Evelyn( Boughton) Wilkinson, of Ottawa Ontario; brothers, Kent and Trevor; and his beloved dog and best buddy, Ginger.
Cremation has taken place by the compassionate and caring people of McAdam's Funeral Home in Fredericton, NB. Burial will take place at a later date.
A special thank you to to the Kindred Care workers for their care of and friendship with John, to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for their care of John in his final days, and to McAdam's Funeral Home for their understanding and kindness during this confusing time.
