Obituary of Barbara Donahue
Ann Donahue passed away peacefully at Hospice House on March 20, 2026, with family at her side, following a brief illness. Ann was born November 3, 1959, in Harvey Station to the late Albert and Dorothy (White) Godbout.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Michael of 47 years; her beloved son, Jeffrey (Meagen); and her grandchildren, Scarlett, Rila and Jaxson. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry Charters (Garnett), Teddy Godbout (Elizabeth), Debbie Christie, Kim Weinenski (Pat), Benny Godbout (Kim), Christine Messer (Terrance), Yvette Bailey (Gordon), and Johnny Godbout (Kim), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Godbout; her parents-in-law, Robert and Annie Donahue; her sister, Gaitanne Gillespie; her bother in-law, Clay Christie; and her special aunt, Sister Consuella White.
After graduation from high school Ann began working at the McAdam Village office, where she remained until her recent retirement.
Ann enjoyed baking, quilting, and working in her garden. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active volunteer at the McAdam Historical Station and Tabitha's Comfort Quilts.
She will be remembered as someone who consistently put others before herself and went above and beyond expectations. Ann was a loving wife, mother, nan, sister, and friend who cared deeply for her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering support, as well as the lasting impact she had on her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever by all who knew her.

As per Ann’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at the McAdam Railway Station on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
