Obituary of Andy Mockler

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Andy Mockler on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at the age of 63.

Andy will be missed by his wife, Liza, as well as his twins, Alyssa and Alex, whom he was very proud of.  His loss is also profoundly felt by his devoted mother, Doris; his brother, Gary; and his sister, Jo-Anne (Allan). He will also be missed by his sisters and brothers-in-law Sophie (feu Alan), Normand (feu Simone), Lisette (feu Jeff), Martin (Liette), Jacques, and Gaêtan (Phanny); as well as his nieces and nephews: Alex, Matthew (godson), Andrew, Daniel, Ian, Mélanie, Jeff, Scott, Mark, Elisa, Julie, Matéo, Michelle, Noah, Adèle, Gabriel, Danielle, Marissa, Zoé, Rachael, and Harlo.

Andy is now reunited with his identical twin brother, Alan, and with his late father, Pete (Eugene) Mockler, K.C.

He also leaves behind many Mockler and Clark’s cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

In his younger years, Andy was an athlete who excelled at tennis, hockey, waterskiing, and downhill skiing. He would often say he was better at sports than his twin brother Alan.  In his spare time, Andy enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Magaguadavic Lake.  He loved spending time with his family and was always welcoming to friends and was proud to show them around the property.  He also enjoyed traveling with his family and taking his son on father-and-son trips.  We will hear Andy telling us what to fix and clean for a long time.

Andy was a well-known businessman in Fredericton. He and his twin brother Alan owned Andal Corporation, which included multiple commercial real estate properties throughout New Brunswick. Andy and Alan’s entrepreneurial spirit started at a young age, with paper deliveries, mowing lawns, landscaping, snow removal, to owning 52 hot dog carts in N.B., N.S., P.E.I., and Quebec. They started manufacturing 5 different models of the carts in Mexico City and shipping them around the world.  Eventually, they expanded into developing their commercial real estate portfolio.

Andy and Alan believed in giving back to the community and made numerous contributions over the years. Among the causes closest to Andy’s heart were the YMCA and the Autism Center in NFLD, both of which benefited from his support over the years.

A private church service will be held for family members, and a celebration of Andy’s life will be held at Kingswood Lodge, located at 31 Kingswood Park, on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to an autism and lung charity or to a charity of your choice in Andy’s memory.
