Obituary of Joann Josselyn

Joann Josselyn, age 69, of Fredericton, New Brunswick, passed away on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her husband and two sons at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton.

Born on March 18, 1957, in Prince Edward Island, Joann was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her unbelievable kindness, quick wit, and remarkable strength and resilience. Joann found joy in the outdoors, especially camping, hiking, and skating, and she treasured time spent with her beloved grandchildren, as well as her family and friends.

Joann is survived by her husband, Allan Josselyn; her sons, Nicholas Josselyn and Andrew Josselyn; her daughter-in-law, Athena Grillakis; and her grandchildren, Thomas Josselyn and Alma Josselyn. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Darlene Meagher (Kimble); brothers, Vernon MacNeill, Greg MacNeill (Jane), Kevin MacNeill (Ceci), and David MacNeill (Nancy); as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Ellen Beairsto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation in her memory.
