Obituary of Christopher I. Dunnett

It is with broken hearts that the family of Christopher “Chris” I. Dunnett announce his passing in Fredericton, New Brunswick on May 1, 2026. Born on October 10, 1971, he was the son of Sharon (Holmes) Dunnett and the late Jerry Dunnett, and loving husband to Carrie (Belliveau) Dunnett.

A true outdoors man, Chris was always happiest when he was outside, fishing, hunting, or just enjoying nature. He loved to play volleyball, and was a true Boston Bruins fan. He was an animal lover, and cherished his four-legged, furry friends. But above all this, he was a family man. He loved his wife and was so proud of his sons.

Chris will be missed by his best friend and wife of 30 years, Carrie; sons, Cody and Curtis; brother, Derek; sister, Jodie Holmes (Stephen); as well as many friends and extended family.

 A visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris’ name may be made to your local SPCA and would be appreciated by the family.
