Obituary of Kathleen Alice Lorna Bradstreet

The passing of Kathleen “Kay” Bradstreet of Fredericton, New Brunswick occurred on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Born on May 16, 1938, she was the daughter of Herschel and Verna (Ward) Carr.

Kay was a dedicated and hard worker, employed at J.D. Irving Tree Nursery and McCain Foods. She also worked hard at home cooking and cleaning, always providing for her family. In her spare time, she loved to dance, play cards and board games, do puzzles, and watch movies. She liked camping, four-wheeling, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends. She loved God and attending church, and was truly blessed to have the love and support from her church family.

She was a loving Mother to April Pike, Valerie Doherty (Jim), Nancy Tracey (Garry), Pam Pike, and Stephen Pike; a loving Nana to Jon Dionne (Shianne) and Stacy Dionne (Ryan) who called her “Nene”, Eiron Doherty, Michael Doherty (Kristy), Blake Viel (Taylor), and Jeffrey Pike (Adrianna); a loving Great-Nana to Tyron, Mychaela, Kamryn, Easton, Ethan, Gracie, Mavery, and Mallory, and a loving Great-Great Nana to Rosa and Rexton. She will forever remain “the best mom and nana ever”. She further leaves behind her sister, Thelma Gillies, and a very loved nephew, Derek Carr, who always called her “Auntie”.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Darrel Bradstreet and her first husband, John Pike.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to doctors, nurses, and staff for the care and support Kay received during the six years she spent at York Care Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 beginning at 2:00 pm at the Juniper Community Center, 267 Juniper Road, Juniper, NB. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Biggar Ridge Cemetery (e-transfer to valdoherty2023@gmail.com).
