Obituary of James "Jimmy" Chester Russell

It is with sadness that the family of Jimmy Russell announces his passing at York Care Centre on Friday, June 5^th, 2026, at the age of 76. Born in Fredericton on August 3^rd, 1949, he was the son of the late Lena and Allan Russell.

Jimmy leaves behind his sister, Pauline Henderson of Fredericton; nephews, Gary Henderson (Sylvie Losier), Robert Henderson (Helen) and Michael Henderson (Denise Chapman); several great nieces and nephews as well as many cousins. In addition to his parents, Lena and Allan, Jimmy was predeceased by his brother, Chuck, and his sister-in-law, Robbie.

A private graveside service for family will be held in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later time. For those who wish, donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
