Norma was my oldest cousin. I cherish the days they lived in Victoria BC. This is where I got to know her best. She and Tom attended parties at my parents home singing songs and playing the piano, accordion and harmonica. Norma made excellent luncheons that my Sister, Mom, Aunt and I looked forward to attending. They had a most lovely view from their residence in Esquimalt of the inner harbour. Years later, I used her recipes to welcome new families in the nursing home where I worked. I have always had bragging rights to longevity because of Norma on Dad's side and Frances (105) on Mom's. Norma's legacy lives on in the beautiful family she created and I wish them Peace and Strength and most of all Love, during this time of Grief.

I never saw Norma frown. She had a beautiful smile. I said Lovely Lady to her and gave her a hug.
Wish she had written a book so I could have had it for a guide to my own life.

Suzanne, Rick and family, please accept my condolences during this difficult time. Although I never met her, I remember Marsha telling me about the fine lady that she met while selling Avon. That was a few years ago. I always enjoyed your posts of family time together and thought how great it is to still have your mother around and for to be as active as she was.

Dear Suzanne, Rick, Brenda and Tom and other family members,
It was a great pleasure to have met your mom at my home when Suzanne would bring her out to see what she might want to purchase from the little Christmas shop. She was always so beautifully dressed. And elegant woman. She never missed sharing her likes on Facebook. I know she will decorate heaven well. Love to all.

I first met Norma in 2018 when she was a mere 99 years and I was recovering from hip joint replacement surgery at Windsor Court. I was seated at her table in the dining room, where short stay residents were often placed. She was an engaging conversationalist. on many current topics .I always looked forward to my evening meal ,when we caught up with each other. She walked daily ,at that time, from Windsor Court to the Brookside Mall and back. She was always stylishly dressed and everything including jewellery, was coordinated. Over the years ,we connected at the Windsor Court . Last August, we walked around the garden area , following the annual summer BBQ , and I still could not keep up her and she was using a walker. She was a lovely and interesting woman. I consider myself fortunate to have known her.

Suzanne, Rick & family, my deepest sympathy on the death of your dear Mother. While I did not know Norma personally, I felt as if I did through your regular posts on the occasion of her birthday or special celebrations. May her love of life and family, humility and kindness be an inspiration to others.
Sincerely, Kathy

Mrs Mason raised a true storyteller in son Tom. We were often regaled with funny stories about Tom’s Mom and had an up to date account of her life in NB, so much so that we felt we knew her well. Our condolences go to Tom and Diana and the whole Mason family and friends who experience her loss at this time.

Our loss is Heaven's gain, a well deserved rest after a well lived life... Dear Norma will always be in my heart, as she will remain in the hearts of many others at Windsor Court. I looked forward to her daily hugs and kisses and knew she meant every "I love you," as I meant it when I told her the same. She will be missed by many and leaves a lasting legacy. She was one of a kind, your Mom and I continue to think of you as you grieve her earthy absence.
Love,
Sam C xoxo

Dear Brenda, Tom & Diane, Suzanne & Rick and families,
What a beautiful tribute to one of the most inspirational women I’ve ever met. Any time I told her how inspiring she was, or how much I admired her, she had a special saying. “Compliments are like fine perfume, to smelled and never swallowed.” This would be followed by her beautiful smile and a giggle. Marc and I will miss her terribly. We send you all our most sincere and heartfelt condolences.
Keeping you in our prayers,
Brenda and Marc Paradis
