On behalf of the Rowan / Robinson family in Vancouver, I wanted to express our sincere condolences to sons Jamie and David, and their families, as well as Cousin Patricia and her family. We enjoyed so many Rowan family get-togethers over the years at our home in Vancouver and at the Rowan family homes in Fredericton. We were truly blessed to have such a large family from coast to coast, and to have had many visits over the years. We will remember Charles for his kindness and enthusiasm for life, his faith and family. Sadly, I'm expressing our sympathies as the only remaining member of the immediate family of cousins in Vancouver. Sister Jo-Anne passed away in February of this year, and brother David in November of 2020. All taken too young, but will be fondly remembered.

I was one of those kids who was lucky enough to have had Charles' support and encouragement as a youth/teen at St. Dunstan's and through CYD back in the 80s and 90s. I think he was the first adult I wasn't connected to through family who made me feel like I really had his unconditional love and support. I'm sure he did the same for all the kids he supervised over the years but he really felt like my biggest cheerleader-- he could make you feel like you were capable of anything if you put your mind and your heart to it. He made my most awkward and insecure years demonstrably better just by being his kind, magnanimous self, and he will always be remembered with love. My deepest condolences to his family for his loss. ♡
