Obituary of Brenda Joy Trafford

It is with profound sadness that the family of Brenda Joy Trafford announces her passing on June 24,2026 in Fredericton, NB, after a short battle with ovarian cancer. Brenda was born on May 14, 1964 in Smiths Falls, Ontario.

Brenda is pre-deceased by her granddaughter, Paige Bennett; her sisters, Bonnie Dowdall and Shirley Trafford; her brother, Robert Trafford; as well as her parents, George and Bonita Trafford. 

Brenda leaves behind her daughters, Rebecca (Andrew) Laagland and Allison MacDonald; her step-son, Matthew MacDonald; her grandchildren, Joshua, Aiden, Chloe, Danika, Lainey, Kolton and Hunter; her sisters, Laura (Tom) Hunter and Rosemary Trafford; her brothers, Carl (Terry) Trafford, Dan Trafford and Chris Trafford; along with countless cousins, nieces and nephews. Brenda will also be missed by many close friends. 

Brenda was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing baseball in her younger years. Brenda enjoyed travelling around the country but her favourite spot was on the deck listening to the birds. Brenda adored her grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She always went above and beyond for her grandbabies; they will greatly miss their Nana. She had a heart of gold and would sacrifice or do anything for her family. Our world is a little darker without her bright light in it.
