Obituary of Floyd Byron Paul Ross

The family of Floyd Byron Paul Ross is sad to announce his passing on August 21, 2026 in Fredericton New Brunswick.  Born on December 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Irvine and Nellie (Case) Ross.

Floyd was very proud of his career as a civilian employee at CFB Gagetown, and with his work in the construction industry. Floyd was a member of the Alexandria Lodge #33 and Luxor Shriners of New Brunswick. He was active and passionate about all the work done helping Shriner Kids of New Brunswick.  

An avid outdoorsman, Floyd spent many happy hours fishing (fresh and salt-water), hunting or just enjoying nature on his 4-wheeler and around the campsite.  Above all things, he loved his family.

Floyd will be missed by his loving wife Carol of 33 years; children, Georgie and Ian; granddaughters, Faith and Nevaeh; brothers, Irvine and Wendell, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his sisters, Brenda and Marie and brothers, Ellis, Darold, Glen, Cassius, Gordon, Vaughn, Kenneth and Merle.

McAdam's Funeral Home has been entrusted with his final arrangements. A memorial service will be held at the New Maryland United Church (875 Route 101, Nasonworth, NB  E3C 2C1) on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the New Maryland Community Centre. 

Due to allergy sensitivities, the family has asked there be no flowers at the service. In lieu, donations in Floyd’s name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, Lung NB, or the New Maryland United Church and would be appreciated by  the family.
