Obituary of Harry F Sloat

With great memories of a life well lived and enjoyed, we announce the passing of Harry F. Sloat after a brief illness.

Harry was born May 3, 1942 in Keswick to Lloyd and Edna Sloat. At the age of 4 the family moved to the farm in Springhill, where Harry resided for 70 years.

In 1963 Harry married Judi McSorley and they had two sons, Michael and Patrick. They both took after their Dad with Mike enjoying the great outdoors fishing and hunting and Pat loving NASCAR.

Judi and Harry spent 64 years together enjoying travel, Saturday night dances, their boat on the St. John River, lots of great times with friends and family get togethers.

Harry was a former President of the Kinsman Club, former member of the Elks Club and Past President of the Fredericton South Liberal Association.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judi; sons, Michael (Shelly) and Patrick. His brother, Glen (Glenna); grandson, Derrick Connors, (Kyla); great grandchildren, Kailee, Dawson and Kashton. Several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Harry was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Edna, sisters, Joanne, Sharon, Mavis and brothers, Lester, Hazen, Ashley and Ozzie.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral but in Harry's style there will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, Oct.1 from 6-8pm at The Kingswood Lodge.

In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
