Obituary of Jason Lewis Spencer

It is with great sadness that the family of Jason Lewis Spencer announce his passing on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Throughout his entire life Jason exhibited great courage and determination as he dealt with his health issues. As one of God’s Warriors of Faith he finished his life’s journey with dignity and grace. Well done good and faithful servant. Born in Fredericton, NB on November 13, 1971, he was the son of Melvin R. and Donna M. (White) Spencer. Jason was an Ordained Minister and was the much loved and highly respected Pastor of Amazing Grace Sanctuary. The Call of God on his life was evident from a very young age. Jason loved Jesus his entire life and out of that love was birthed a great compassion for the less fortunate. Jason saw homelessness as a complex reality and was determined to dedicate his entire life to building relationships with the down and out in society. He loved more than anything, dealing with the human spirit of humanity as he witnessed daily the struggles that so many were facing. His presence and caring spirit made a huge difference in so many lives. Jason loved being in the great outdoors communing with The Maker of the Wind and the Rain. He had a special connection with nature and loved to hunt and fish and loved fiddlehead season with a passion. Jason leaves behind his loving and devoted parents, Mel and Donna of Fredericton, his cherished grandmother, Maryann White of Fredericton; also three children, daughters, Shayla White (Michael) of Saint John and Mikaela Brosnan of Fredericton and a son, Michael Brosnan of Fredericton. He had a very special love for his granddaughters, Lyla and Adeline. They always made his heart smile. He also leaves behind a sister who he loved dearly, Krista Comeau (Rick) of Penniac, a niece Tiffany and a nephew Travis. Jason also leaves behind a host of friends that he held dear to his heart. Jason was predeceased by his grandfather, Albert "Poppy" White. Visitation will be held at McAdams Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM. A service celebrating the life of Jason Spencer will be held at McAdams Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Trail officiating.
