Obituary of Donald George Toole

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald George Toole of Fredericton on April 14, 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.

Born in Fredericton, July 15, 1946, son of the late Douglas and Alma (Wood) Toole.

Survived by his wife Mary (Sinnott), son Brad (Julie) and loving grandson Cameron; brothers, Terry (Irene), Philip (Cheryl), Chris (Barb), sister-in-law Suzanne Toole, special family friend Carol Waddell and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, brothers, Fred, Karl, Malcolm and sister-in laws Gladys, Fran, and Josephine.

After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy, he was employed with the Province of New Brunswick for 35 years. Don was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion and very active in the Keswick Ridge Recreation Association while living in the community.

Our sincere thanks to the Veterans Health Unit for their wonderful care of Don over the last 2 years. A thank you to Dr. Jean, nurses, and staff of 4SE for their care and compassion during his last days.

A celebration of life will be held at the Killarney Lake Lodge Fredericton, on Wednesday April 24, 2024, from 6:00-8:00pm. A private family interment will take place at Saint John’s Anglican cemetery, Oromocto, at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Veterans Health Unit (Fredericton) or a charity of choice.
