It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Glenna (Hannon) Levison announce her sudden and unexpected passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, July 11th, 2022, in her 90th year. Born in Little Ridge, New Brunswick on December 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Pomeroy) Hannon. Mary will be missed by her daughters, Brenda Martin, Oshawa, ON, Joanne Levison (Calvin), and Kathy Nevers (Rob) of the Fredericton area, who took care of her with unconditional love and compassion. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Gibb (Andrew), Oshawa, ON, Melissa McNabb (Chris), Orillia, ON, and from the Fredericton area Dan McCullough (Ashley), Dave McCullough (Natalie), and Brandon & Ryan Nevers; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Christine, Madison, Cameron, James, Archer and Beau; brothers Charles Hannon (late Corrie), Trenton, ON, Bill Hannon (Ruth), Bangor, ME; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her loving husband, Douglas Levison; brother Robert Hannon and his wife Mildred “Millie” of Ottawa, ON; and, her sister Vera Hannon, Little Ridge, NB. After Mary graduated from St. Stephen High School, she attended the Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing in Fredericton, graduating in 1954. Mary was a dedicated nurse whose career started at the Victoria Public Hospital and concluded upon retirement at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton in 1997. Mary was involved in St. Paul’s United Church and various community groups and organizations. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a good friend to many. Visitation will take place at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s United Church, Fredericton, with an interment at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery to follow. Rev. Michelle Armstrong will officiate. The family requests masks to be worn at both events. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Mary’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Paul’s United Church or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
