Hello Dorene, I just read this sad news, Alexander in the time that I was able to share with you is his house he was the best of hosts just like you, you welcomed me in his house as if I were family. I remember that Bill was always interested in innovation issues, he breathed his engineering spirit, I remember him a lot in the afternoons next to the barbecue, grilling some good portions of meat and talking a little about my life and his. I thank God for allowing me to meet a person with a big heart. I ask God to give you comfort, and I send you the strongest and biggest hugs. Affectionately Juan Guillermo

Dear Doreen, I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I have obviously been out of touch since the onset of COVID and didn't realize that he had been ill. I have such fond memories of him -- his kindness and his humour and, later in life, his stories about our ancestor's Crimean War uniform and sword. Of course, both my parents and my parents-in-law were very, very fond of him -- and they were always so delighted to see him -- by choice or by chance. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. A prince of a man. Godly, solid, caring, wise, loving...and SO much more. We couldn't have found a better father-in-law for our son, nor a more devoted Grampy for our grandchildren. A treasure trove of memories between our families, for which I am forever grateful. He was a Gentle Man, and a Scholar - truly. Happy to have shared family and memories with him. Warm love and prayers to ALL the family. He has enriched all our lives.
