Obituary of Nila Joy Beach
In the afternoon hours of Tuesday, August 9, 2022, Nila peacefully slipped into eternity with her devoted husband Burton close by her side. Nila lived a life of dignity and grace and served her Lord and Saviour faithfully and always with gladness of heart. Born in Plaster Rock, NB she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Uta (Corbin) Larlee. Aside from parents, Nila was predeceased by her sisters Lena, Valerie and Sally as well as a brother Brian.
Nila was a faithful and dedicated member of the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church and was a cherished and much loved Sunday School Teacher. She loved to decorate the church for each season of the year. Her decorations were always a work of sheer beauty. She was a gift to the church on so many levels and will be dearly missed by her faith community. One of Nila’s greatest passions was Scrapbooking and she was very articulate in what she did. To Nila, scrapbooking was one way of keeping precious memories alive. During her years of employment, Nila worked for Maritime Law for 23 years as a proof-reader and also worked for Bayshore Home Care for a number of years. For many years Nila was an active and dedicated member of the Bannon Bible Camp Team, Bannon, NB. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 19 years, Burton, as well her puppy Toffee. She is also survived by her brother Ronnie Larlee (Barb) of Plaster Rock as well many much loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, on both sides of the family, cousins and a host of treasured friends. Surviving on her husband’s side are sisters-in-law, Stella (late Mirns), Heather (late Phil), Sheila (Rick) and Florence (Bev) also brothers-in-law, David (Marjorie), Harold (Joanne), Elias (Margo), Russell (Wendy), Ensley (late Joanne), Walter (Kathy), Bev (Jane) and Ralph (Lynn).
There will be no visitation hours however everyone is welcome to attend a Celebration of Life Service for Nila which will be held from the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church, 2265 Route 148, Taymouth, NB on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Trail officiating.
