The Owens Art Gallery at Mt. Allison held a retrospective of the art of the college: "All Things Useful and Artistic: Applied Arts at Mount Allison University 1906-1960", in 2015. Carolyn's art was part of that show, and on a September day I drove my car with Carolyn and Sharon to Sackville to see it. We were amazed at all the beautiful pieces that she had created, and there were many items from her home that I had never known were made by her hand, such as leather tooling, weaving, pottery, wood carving, silver, jewelry, etc. It was very impressive. We were impressed by her work; she, on the other hand, had been impressed that the large container truck that the Gallery had sent to retrieve her items had been able to back into the rather long and narrow laneway to their house.
