Obituary of Helena Elias Youssef

It is with great sadness that the family of Helena Elias Youssef announces her sudden passing on September 10, 2022, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on January 6, 1963, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Elias Jiress and Suzanne (Antonios) Youssef. Helena was loved by all who knew her, which she returned that love to everyone tenfold. She was friendly and inviting, making it easy to have a conversation with her. She always tried to lend a helping hand with family, especially her young nieces and nephews. She is survived by brothers, Charles Youssef (Fadia) and George Youssef (Marie); Charles’ children, Jessica Gerges (Charbel) and Elias Youssef; George’s children, Suzanne Ojimba (Frank), Sonya Jebailey (Chris), Maggie Allaby (Nick) and Charles Youssef, as well as several great nieces, great nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at McAdam’s Funeral Home from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm, with Parish Prayer taking place at 7 pm by Msgr. Pierre Azzi (Rite of Incense). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church, 299 Argyle Street, Fredericton, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 3 pm, with Msgr. Pierre Azzi as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. For those that wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church.
