Obituary of Ron Moore

Ronald Laurier “Bucky” Moore passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 88 on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton, NB. Ron was the son of the late George B. Moore and Cécile Brideau. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Thérèse (Savoie) Moore and their 8 children: Colette (Tom) Lekborg, Carolyn Moore, Catherine (Blake) Hender, Christopher (Janet) Moore, Michael (Anna) Moore, Stephen (Linda) Moore, Gregory (Nancy) Moore, Suzanne (Greg) Brewer. Ron and Thérèse were blessed to have 14 grandchildren: Anika, Katarina, Ryan, Rachael, Paige, Stuart, Jordan, Lauren, Nathan, Liam, Owen, Jenna, Erica, Benjamin and 3 great grandchildren Mila, Kacie and Jack. Dad’s family meant the world to him and he was proud of each one of us. He was a lifelong resident of Fredericton and graduated from the University of New Brunswick. He was a man of great faith and dedicated time to his community through work with the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts and the John Howard Society. He was a history buff, loved Mom’s cooking (especially her banana cream pie) and loved to welcome company with a rye and Canada Dry ginger ale. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home for the wonderful care that he received over the past 4 years. Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at 12:05 pm. Rev. John Jennings will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Pine Grove Foundation or the Men’s Shelter on Brunswick Street.
