Obituary of Ruth Evelyn Revesz

It is with a heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our very loved and dear sister, aunt, and special friend Ruth Evelyn (Thompson) Revesz, who died on September 20, 2022 at the age of 96 years. A woman of integrity, she lived by the words found in Ecclesiastes 7:1. “A good name is better than good oil”. The wisdom of these words was demonstrated throughout her entire life by her special volunteer work in carrying out her ministry. Ruth made a good name for herself over many decades as a teacher of Bible laws and principles, not only at the local Kingdom Hall, but also in her house to house ministry. She just loved to tell about the promised New Earth, and paradise being restored again (Psalm 37:11), to whoever was interested in listening. A woman of great courage. She will be sadly missed. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Louis, with whom she enjoyed 57 years of happy marriage. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Audrey Tonnesen; sister, Nancy Porter, and many nieces and nephews. Ruth will also be missed and remembered with affection by her brothers and sisters in the Oromocto Congregation, her home congregation for over 60 years. She truly was a living example of faith among us. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oromocto Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service for Ruth on Sunday, October 2nd, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 16 Doyle Drive, at 2:00 pm, with Johann Grimm officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors’ choice.
