It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Blair Roy Steeves on September 28, 2022, at Hospice House. Born on April 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Blair W. and Laura (Leger) Steeves.
Blair was a teacher of Industrial Arts. He began his teaching career on Campobello Island, continued teaching at St. Malachy’s in Saint John, then at NB Institute of Technology in Moncton. He retired as a professor of Industrial Arts at UNB.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, of 70 years, Fay (Howland) Steeves; children, Michael Steeves, Carol Wry (Michael), Barbara Ramsey (Robin) and Blair Steeves (Mabel Janes); 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Blair was predeceased by his brother, Donald Steeves, and his sister, Marilyn Bourque.
By request, there will be no formal services. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House or the Alzheimer’s Society.
