Obituary of Brynnlee April Barrett

On November 18th, 2022, Brynnlee April Barrett came into this world into her mommy’s arms at 12:23 pm and left in her daddy’s arms at 1:39 pm. Brynnlee was born weighing 6 lbs 6 oz, with blue eyes and lots of blond hair at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and passed away due to a Vein of Galen Malformation (VOGM) – a very rare medical condition. Brynnlee was a perfect mix of her mommy and daddy, was born on the day her mommy was baptized 21 years ago and fought so hard to meet her family for the PERFECT amount of time.

Brynnlee’s short life impacted so many people and was filled with the love of her family and close friends who’d eagerly and joyfully awaited her arrival. Brynnlee will be missed tremendously by her parents, Dylan Barrett & Katie Brown; grandparents Lisa Barrett, Tina Brown, Andrew Gale, and Brian & Amanda Kennedy; great-grandparents Jeanne Albert & Jean Bourgoin, David Brown & Thérèse Rousseau-Brown, Lynda Gale & Mark Murphy, Randolph Gale, Craig & Debbie Smith, Doug Shirley and Frank Barrett & Monique Chevarie; aunts and uncles, Alexa, Codie, Madison, Ryan, Travis, and a big extended family. Brynnlee was predeceased by her great-great-grandparents David & Anna Jean (McNerlin) Brown and Delores Peterson.

The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional, IWK, Toronto Sick Kids and Boston Children’s Hospitals, especially Drs. Butt, Sansom, Lalani, Orbach, and Dirks, as well as nurses Kelly and Katie, social worker Julie and all the staff who provided excellent and compassionate medical care. Special thanks to Shae Lewallen and Marlene Happek Brochu of the VOGM Support Network and Pillars of Hope for their unwavering support through this difficult time. Special thanks also to Shayla White for dedicating Brynnlee to God’s care during her brief time with us.

Brynnlee, darling, you’ve given us everything and more. Forever you’ll be our little girl. We love you so much and cannot thank you enough for the impact you’ve left on this world and everyone in it. You are now our biggest inspiration. Thank you for now watching over us.

Love always, Mommy & Daddy
