Obituary of David Hazen Gorman
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Hazen Gorman on December 19th, 2022. Born on January 1st, 1955, in Montreal, QC, he was the son of the late David and Lois (Glass) Gorman, and the beloved husband of Bonnie (Nowe) Gorman.
David was a fantastic story teller, who would also throw in many jokes to make his family and friends enjoy a few laughs. When he was not telling jokes or stories, he could be found skunking people in one of his favourite card games, cribbage. He enjoyed a good tune, and had a tendency to bust a few moves, especially while in the kitchen. A campfire was a place that David enjoyed to spend time around, with his loved ones telling a few stories, jokes, and sometime enjoying a good cold drink.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Jennifer; son, Delancey; sisters, Patricia O’Brien (Bill) and Katherine Duke (Mark); nieces and nephews, Theresa, Jamie, Nebil Jr., Michael, Gabriel, Ruth, Nathan and Anthony, as well as many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Hanselpacker and Lois Bassim.
A visitation was held on Friday, January 6th, 2023, at McAdam’s Funeral Home from 2 – 4 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:30 am, with Fr. John Jennings officiating. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
