What a pleasure to have known Jane all these years. We were young Mum's together when she & her girl's lived in Colonial Heights & then when she & Merrill moved to Skyline Acres. A gracious lady, strong, warm-hearted, and the "hostess with the mostest". It was with much joy that she and Merrill shared a beautiful life & love together. I am very sad to hear of her passing and am ever so pleased that we shared many lovely times together. Heartfelt sympathies to Merrill and her family... Mavis Lamont (now living in Perth, Ontario) ♥♥

Please accept our sincere condolences. It was a real pleasure to get to know Jane even briefly. We thought she was such a warm and welcoming person. Our last contact was a beautiful evening sitting beside her and Merrill out in a field in Cambridge Narrows, watching Lennie Gallant singing his heart out! It sounds like there were many wonderful memories to cherish. Rest in peace, Jane.

Kathryn,
I was sad to hear about the death of your mom. She was a lovely woman - I remember her as a positive and energetic person who loved to laugh. She had a wonderful sense of style and was always so fashionable and put together! I admired her zest for life. Jane’s friendship was so important to my mother and she will be missed.

Jane and I spent many years together co-managing the gift shop at the DECH. This involved buying trips to Toronto where we shared many laughs and where she introduced me to Long Island Iced Tea. She was an amazing person who could light up a room as well as decorate it with impeccably good taste. She was also a wonderful hostess. Her parties were legendary. I know that her legion of friends will feel as I do -that a light has gone out of our lives. Anne Ingram

Merrill, I was so sorry to hear that your dear Jane had passed away . We shared a room at DECH for most of 2 months and I enjoyed every day I spent with her. We had a lot of laughs, told lots of stories and I loved listening to her tell about her life from
the time she was a young child , the cruises you two took , life at the cottage , her years of postings while a military wife and her girls and there families . I can't forget trying to retrieve her calls on her cell phone and everyday she said ' when I get out of here I am going to get a flip phone, all I need it for is to get a call and make a call , nothing else''. I last talked to her mid December and she was expecting her daughter home for the weekend. We signed off with a promise that Ron and I would come visit her in January for tea. RIP Jane , you were a great roommate ,I am glad I had the pleasure of sharing my life with you for that time.

I remember Jane from her involvement with Fredericton Pony Club, and then her many years running the Gift Shop at the DECH. Always smiling, always efficient, always helpful. That was Jane. She will be missed.
