Obituary of Bonnie Chandler Doyle Creber

It is with broken hearts that the family announce the passing of Bonnie Chandler Doyle Creber of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Surrounded by her family, Bonnie passed on January 6, 2023 at the age of 44.

Bonnie is survived by the loves of her life, her husband Dave Creber, and her children Holly and Thomas. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and good friend. Her family will carry her love and legacy for a lifetime and live in gratitude for every moment spent with Bonnie.

Bonnie was a loving mother who adored her children. Holly and Thomas were the most important aspect of her life and she was happiest when she was spending time with them and Dave. Holly and Bonnie enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate dates on their drives around Fredericton, and the fun times they shared on their shopping trips. Bonnie beamed with pride when she watched Holly at her artistic swimming meets. Bonnie also found much joy when skiing with Thomas at Crabbe Mountain, watching him play baseball, or just cuddling with him on the couch watching a movie. Bonnie loved her home and the outdoor swing in their family’s backyard, and found happiness when watching her children swim in the pool. She loved to entertain family, friends and neighbourhood kids, and called their backyard her “oasis.” Dave was Bonnie’s rock. Their relationship was truly a love story, and his unwavering love, commitment and dedication to her throughout their marriage was remarkable.

Bonnie loved being in nature and going for walks in Reading Park. She loved to travel, and enjoyed many trips with her husband and children, family and friends. She cherished her summer trips to Rustico, Prince Edward Island with Dave, Holly and Thomas and often referred to it as her “happy place.” She also looked forward to the annual culinary experience she and Dave would enjoy each September at the Inn at Bay Fortune in PEI. Bonnie visited many places around the world, but the shopping trips to Maine with her sisters and mother were amongst her favourite. Bonnie loved hot coffee, chocolate croissants, music, and cooking.

Bonnie loved her nieces and nephews and had special relationships with each one. She was always there to celebrate in their successes, no matter how big or small.

Bonnie graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton in 2000. She went on to earn a Master of Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa in 2002. Bonnie loved her experience on “the Hill,” and made lifelong friends and memories during her time in Ottawa before returning to New Brunswick where she worked in Communications in the private sector and then later in Government, and NB Power. Wherever she went Bonnie easily made lifelong friends

In addition to her husband and children, Bonnie is survived by her parents, Bonnie and Arthur Doyle of Fredericton; sister Heather Doyle Landry (John) of Fredericton; sister Natalie Doyle Oldfield (Michael) of Halifax; brother Arthur Doyle Jr. (Daniele) of Rothesay; and sister Nancy Champion (Greg) of Fredericton. She is also survived by Monica and John Creber of Kingston; and Jennifer and Allen Hayward of Iqaluit. Bonnie was a much loved aunt to Sally and Jane Landry; Patrick and Courtney Oldfield; Molly and Maren Hayward; Katelyn and Madison Doyle; and Josephine, Hazel and George Champion. She is also survived by extended family, friends, colleagues and lifelong friend, Norine Naguib of Ottawa.

Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, on January 11 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Bonnie’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, January 12, 2022 at 2:00pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 1500 Hanwell Rd. in Fredericton. A private burial will take place at a future date.
